BIS4 SERVER ARCHITECTURE
The operational architecture shown below includes hot swap redundancy
The second BIS4 server can be physically separated in another data
centre anywhere in the world the implementation of the BIS4 server
however is flexible and allows single server operation without
redundancy.
Biometric identification server features BIS4
1. Four modes of biometric matching iris face, voice and fingerprint.
2. Identification ( recognition) & verification Enroll, update,
delete, inactive
3. Compatible with DB2. oracle81, MS SQL
4. Administrator, operator and user ( with role based security)
5. Searches iris record at 1 million records per sec. running on dual
Intel itanium
processor
6. Impostor detection during enrollment (prevents multiple identities)
7. Searches against a wanted list
8. Defined user attributes ( eg wanted list flag )
9. Data base compactable with DB2 and oracle 8i
10. Every transaction is auditable
11. Multi threaded sockets interface
12. Transmits MACed, nonced and encrypted data (prevents replay)
13. Data encryption (database level3)
14. API security
15. Automatic storage of iris images (4KB) to assure no re-enrollment
required for a
future algorithm upgrade
16. Compatible with multiple biometric Biocam and other iris cameras
17. Supports three level of auditing
18. Optional personal information database
19. Operationally integrates with legacy or new personal information
database
20. Scalable performance to 10's of millions
